# Egg incubation

All players will start with a Level 0 egg. Your goal is to help it hatch into a bird, and along the journey you can unlock more features and also receive a lot of lucrative rewards. Use the button "Upgrade" to level up your egg. Each upgrade requires a certain amount of BIRDS. The higher the level, the more BIRDS are needed to upgrade and the longer the wait time. An egg has 20 levels until it hatches into a bird. You can speed up the upgrade process by using $BIRDS or using the [Boosters](https://docs.birds.dog/ai-bird-game/boosters). These features allow your eggs to hatch faster!\ Once you reach level 21, your egg hatches, and now you're moving on to the[next phase of the BIRD journey](https://docs.birds.dog/ai-bird-game/growing-bird).

You can upgrade your Bird level using either BIRDS or SUI.

**\[Update Dec 30, 2024]**\ We’ve heard from many players that new players have a hard time reaching the top ranks because they need a lot of BIRDS points to upgrade their levels and have to wait a long time. That’s why we’re introducing the "**Super Boost**" feature. With this, players can use SUI to save time and BIRDS, making it easier to level up and enjoy the game.
